Former Atari man Jean-Marcel Nicolai to oversee global production of Disney Interactive Studios' titles

Disney adds SVP of production to exec games team

Disney Interactive Studios has appointed former Atari man Jean-Marcel Nicolai as senior vice president of global production.

Reporting to Disney Interactive Studios executive vice president and general manager Graham Hopper, Nicolai will oversee Disney’s worldwide video game production including the company’s five internal development studios, externally developed projects and future studio expansion.

At Atari, he was responsible for leading and managing five internal studios, external product development, production support and technology development in the dual role of SVP of product development and CTO.

“Jean-Marcel joins us at an exciting time as we continue to showcase our commitment to quality and we build our already robust portfolio of global development teams and internal studios,” said Hopper. “Jean-Marcel’s deep experience in the video game and technology sectors makes him a strong leader and an ideal addition to our executive team.”
