E3 2012: European PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection detailed

The European version of Sony’s PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection has been detailed by SCEE.

As revealed at Sony’s E3 presentation last night, PS+ has been revamped with a significant amount of extra content on offer to those who sing up to Sony’s annual 40 subscription service.

As of tomorrow (Wednesday June 6th) subscribers will be able to access ten full games free of charge. Three of the list will change each month, with a minimum of ten available at any one time. That’s two fewer than US gamers are set to receive.

The debut offerings will be Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Chime Super Deluxe, Darksiders, Renegade Ops, Outland and Oddworld: Strangers Wrath HD.

In addition, three Sony titles – InFamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Motorstorm Apocalypse – will be available for the next 12 months.

On top of that there will be a PS+ Game of the Month each month, with Sega’s Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown claiming the June spot.

Exclusive to European PS+ subscribers will be an additional scheme called PlayStation Plus Presents, which will each month offer a free indie title. This kicks off with shooter Retro/Grade later this summer.

A total of over 45 games will be offered within the first 12 months – beating the numbers promised by Sony America.
