EA has banned ‘hundreds’ of Battlefield 3 cheaters

Publisher EA has revealed that hundreds” of players have been banned from playing Battlefield 3 due to cheating.

And it’s not just on PC either, as some console users have also been unceremoniously blocked.

Those found guilty of breaching the rules must not only endure being locked out of their accounts – their stats have also been wiped. EA says it has a zero tolerance policy” on the issue.

The publisher is also planning a patch to remove a number of exploits that gamers have discovered in the current code.

It’s more important than ever for publisher to identify and remove hackers from online titles. Any keen Black Ops gamer will tell you how bad hacking got at one stage in that game.
