Early UK Titanfall players won’t be banned… probably

Will gamers who get hold of Titanfall early face an online ban? No. Well, probably not, anyway.

Respawn boss Vince Zampella took to Twitter to say that no action would be taken against those who obtain a legitimate copy of the game early and venture online.

Remember, Titanfall arrives in the US tomorrow and in the UK this Friday (March 14th).

A question mark temporarily hung over those who streamed their pre-release copies on Twitch, but Respawn has just moments ago confirmed that following the lifting of the game’s review embargo this afternoon all streaming has now been greenlit.

An element of uncertainty remains, however about the Origin version available on PC.

Unlike on consoles where retailers may choose to sell games early, to get the pre-loaded Origin version working, players need to use an unauthorised hack – which has recently been shared on the internet via Reddit.

This takes it beyond the realms of Zampella’s comfort-zone, and the developer admitted that Origin could yet take action against those who employ such methods.
