Electronic Sports League acquires ESS Agency

Leading esports firm ESL has announced the acquisition of event services and technologies agency ESS.

Electronic Sports League has also announced that it has opened a 7,000 square foot full production studio at its LA office – complete with room for an audience of hundreds – which paired with this new buyout paves the way for expansion to its US operations.

ESS has fronted ESL’s North American ops since 2006.

We’ve seen huge success and growth in Europe, and we’ve always wanted to bring that to the passionate communities of North America,” ESL’s VP of international business Sebastian Weishaar said.

With the new US team on our side and the new studio in place, we’ll be able to bring exciting live event experiences and broadcasted shows to the eSports communities of North America."

ESS president Han Park added: We are excited to join the ESL family, launch ESL America and bring the suite of globally recognized ESL products to North America.

With the building of our full production broadcast studio in the U.S., ESL will quickly establish itself as the premier gaming content provider for publishers, sponsors, and eSports fans and players on a global scale.”
