Charity speedrunning event Games Done Quick has raised more than $1.5 million for charity.
The week-long live-streamed event smashed its goal of $1m, and all proceeds will go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation, which pledges money to cancer research, education and community outreach.
Games played during Games Done Quick included the Commander Keen series, Castlevania, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Metroid Prime and Diddy Kong Racing.
The event also saw a marriage proposal from one speedrunner (she said yes), and a player speedrun through the child dungeons of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time blindfolded.
A massive hand to all our runners, volunteers, viewers and donors. You all made this possible, and you make us keep striving! #AGDQ2015
