Ghost Recon Future Soldier delayed to May

Ubisoft has pushed back Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier on consoles by two months to May 25th.

The Xbox 360, PS3 and PC third-person shooter was previously set to hit UK shelves in March. Additionally, the PC version will arrive sometime after the console SKUs are released on May 25th.

Future Soldier is also compatible with Xbox 360 Kinect and allows players to shoot in-game weapons using Microsoft’s motion-sensing accessory. Ubisoft say the game has been delayed to make sure it is of ‘the highest level’.

Ubisoft prides itself on creating some of the most compelling and innovative experiences in digital entertainment,” said Ubisoft Studios France IP development director Adrian Lacey.

Today we are feature-complete in our multiplayer, single-player and four-player co-op campaign modes. We have taken the decision to move the date in order to ensure that all these ingredients are pushed to the highest level and provide a truly unique shooter experience.

The Ghost Recon franchise is known for setting the standard of high definition gaming and we believe the extra couple of months will allow us to reach that goal. We would like to thank all Ghost Recon fans for their patience and look forward to unveiling some exciting new elements in the coming weeks.”
