Gigantic could be in trouble as dev lays off a ‘significant’ number of staff

Motiga, the creator of MOBA Gigantic, has suffered yet another round of layoffs.

Following job losses in December, a "significant percentage" of staff have now been temporarily laid-off as a result of money troubles.

"Our financial situation is such that we are unable to continue supporting the entirety of the studio at this time,"revealedCEO Chris Chung. "Though we are in active and promising discussions with a number of potential investors, the timing for those negotiations extends beyond the resources we have to maintain the staffing required to continue development on Gigantic."

Chung confirmed that Motiga would support Gigantic for ‘as long as we are able’, and would aim to rehire those affected by the lay offs as soon as possible.
