Gumi opens four new Western studios

Japanese mobile gaming developer and publisher Gumi has opened four new studios in Europe and the US.

The new offices are based in Austin, Stockholm, Kiev and Vancouver, the latter of which is staffed by ex-Capcom staff. A further office will also be opened in San Francisco focusing on business development and public relations.

The firm has also hired Xbox Studio Manager AJ Redmer to lead creative development at the firm’s US operations.
