Robert Kinder to oversee marketing of existing and upcoming third-party titles

Jagex recruits ex-Codemasters exec as brand director

UK independent studio Jagex has continued its recruitment drive with the appointment of a new brand director.

Former Codemasters online marketing manager Robert Kinder will oversee the marketing and brand positioning of the developer’s existing and upcoming third-party titles.

“We’re really pleased to be welcoming Robert back into the Jagex marketing team,” said Jagex CMO David Solari.

“We have some big plans for 2012 and beyond and Robert will be able to utilise his specialities to ensure that our games will reach their full potential.

"Over recent years Robert has gained a great deal of digital marketing experience and I am confident that his knowledge and experience of launching numerous top selling titles will be a massive asset to Jagex as we strive to become the dominant force in UK digital gaming.”

As well as working at Codemasters, Kinder has also worked at studios such as Metaboli and Green Man Gaming, where he worked as head of e-commerce and trade marketing.

Kinder will join recent hires at the developer such as ex-Microsoft exec Simon Etchells, who joined as marketing manager, and former Codemasters VP David Solari, who joined the outfit in February as marketing chief.
