Future Fable releases may employ motion control, says Microsoft Game Studios

Lionheadâ??s Fable franchise â??may adopt Natalâ??

Lionhead may integrate Natal motion control capabilities into its forthcoming Fable titles, according to Microsoft.

"Lionhead’s been a real innovation studio for us," said Microsoft Game Studios’ corporate vice president Phil Spencer, speaking to Joystiq.

“It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if Natal found its way into future iterations of Fable,” he said.

Phil Spencer was speaking at the 2009 Tokyo Game Show, moments after a Microsoft press conference highlighted the platform holder’s push for Natal products.

At the event Microsoft unveiled a list of publishers and developers working on content that uses the motion-sensing 3D camera.

These include Activision Blizzard, Bethesda Softworks, Capcom, Disney Interactive, Electronic Arts, Konami, MTV Games, Namco Bandai, Sega, Square Enix, THQ and Ubisoft.

Microsoft says those firms account for over 70 per cent of third-party software sales for this console cycle.
