Venom hires new biz dev boss

The games accessories manufacturer has hired Darren Scott as its new head of business development.

Scott will be responsible for the major expansion of Venom’s gaming accessories portfolio in Europe and internationally as well as working closely with Venom’s distribution partners.

He will also be responsible for licensing and product development of the VGA range. Scott has over 15 years of experience in the video games industry. Seven of which were spent at A4T as its international sales manager.

Top BioShock Infinite team members depart from 2K
A handful of members from the Bioshock Infinite development team have left the studio.

Design lead Jeff McGann, director of product development Tim Gerritsen, principals systems designer Kenneth Strickland, and art director Nate Wells?all list new Irrational as a past employer on LinkedIn.

Director of production at Epic Games Rob Ferguson will join Irrational Games as its new executive vice president of development.

Lundvik joins Hansoft as COO
The firm has recruited new COO Birgitta Lundvik to manage further expansion. Lundvik will help promote growth and facilitate further expansion at the production management company.

She has an extensive background within business administration and several years of experience helping businesses grow. She previously worked at Global Medical Investments as its CFO.

VideoGamer.com reshuffles editorial team
Martin Gaston and Neon Kelly are seeing changes in their roles at games website Videogamer.com.

Features editor Neon Kelly has assumed the role of video production editor, joining new hire and video producer Matthew Nellis.

Matthew is already proving to be a great addition to the editorial team,” said editor Tom Orry.We’re all looking forward to what he and Neon can produce together.”

Reviews editor Martin Gaston will now take over feature responsibilities becoming the new reviews and features editor. Gaston will be responsible for commissioning freelance feature work in addition to reviews.
