MCV’s 12 Games of Christmas: Disney Infinity 2.0

Kids can go on adventures and build their own worlds in Disney Infinity, which was a real hit when the franchise first arrived in 2013.

Featuring a host of iconic Disney characters – from Mickey Mouse to Captain Jack Sparrow – the original title has sold through 3m units.

This year’s game actually got off to a better start in the UK, driven by the introduction of Marvel characters for the first time.

There is a wealth of great Marvel toys for Infinity 2.0, including Groot from Guardians of The Galaxy, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and a host of other characters from The Avengers series. That’s on top of Spider-Man, Donald Duck and Aladdin.

The title has been well-received by critics and is expected to perform well over 2014.

Games industry analyst Michael Pachter predicts Infinity 2.0 will beat the sales of its predecessor, while Disney says it hopes the title will help the series generate over $1bn at retail.
