Microsoft Studios, Crytek and Deep Silver back Develop Awards

Microsoft Studios, Deep Silver and Crytek have pledged their backing as Platinum sponsors for the forthcoming Develop Industry Excellence Awards.

The only peer-voted awards for the UK and European game industry, the Develop Awards are this year taking place on July 10th at the Brighton Metropole hotel.

Microsoft Studios is the game development branch of the computing giant, and houses a number studios in the UK including long-standing developers Rare, Lionhead and Soho Productions, as well as the newly formed Lift London headed up by Lee Schuneman.

Development giant Crytek, behind hits such as the Crysis series and free-to-play shooter Warface, is a prominent company on the European development scene. The developer houses studios in Europe such as its Nottingham office in the UK, and studios in the Ukraine, Hungary, Turkey and Bulgaria.

Deep Silver, the games label under Koch Media, has published major game releases, not least including Dead Island and the newly released Dead Island: Riptide. Other titles include Risen, Catherine and the upcoming Metro: Last Night and Saints Row IV.
