Move could get PC compatibility

Sony could be planning on bringing PC compatibility to its PlayStation Move motion controllers, if reports are to be believed.

Kotaku reports that SCEA’s senior development support engineer John McCutchan will take to the stage at GDC later this month to unveil the ‘Move Server’. The description of his session is as follows:

"This talk will bring developers up to speed on developing for the PlayStation Move controller. We will cover developing for the new PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter accessory. We will discuss the new Move Server project that will make it possible for academics and hobbyists to develop software using the PlayStation Move controller on their own PCs."

Of course, we’ve already seen plenty of hacks for Kinect that have got the motion sensing device doing all kinds of wonders on PC. And various uses for the Wii controller have already been seen on PC.
