Traditional wisdom dictates that, when it comes to Nintendo platforms, the only victor is the platform holder itself.
At this year’s E3 conference, however, the Japanese giant has rallied against such wisdom, declaring that more third party games are sold for Wii than on any other platform – and the DS comes in number two.
While that may be true, is it entirely representative, or does it merely confirm that one or two publishers have one or two evergreen titles – such as Sega’s Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, or THQ’s Big Beach Sports – and the rest languish on store shelves?
