No Man’s Sky gets release date, $150 Limited Edition

June 21st – that’s the day No Man’s Sky will finally be released, it has been confirmed.

A June release date was first announced back in October. And as reports yesterday suggested, final confirmation of the exact release has at last arrived. The date applies to both the PS4 and PC versions.

Game Informer reports that the rumoured price tag – $60 – is also accurate (and appears to translate to 40 on Steam, and 55 on Amazon for the boxed PS4 version). The site has also confirmed suspicions that the game will be released both digitally and at retail.

Lots of sites have now gone live with gameplay impressions, suggesting the game’s elongated development has afforded it an extra layer of depth.

The Verge, meanwhile, has word of a $150 Explorer’s Edition that includes a replica spaceship. This SKU is PC-only and is not available for PS4, and is limited to 10,000 copies.
