No Season Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on PS3 and 360

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will not receive all of the post-release DLC pencilled in for the PS4 and Xbox One versions.

Players on older machines will not be able to buy a Season Pass to access the content, either.

"Season Pass will be available only on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms,” Activision told Videogamer. Availability of individual DLC packs for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms may vary. More information will be announced at a later date."

It is not known what content will and will not be released for these older platforms. However, it has been confirmed elsewhere that The Giant Zombies map will not be released on Xbox 360. Multiplayer map packs as individual downloads seemingly remain a possibility for the time being.

This is far from the first blow for Call of Duty fans who are yet to jump to next-gen machines. Already confirmed is the omission of the single-player mode from PS3 and Xbox 360. These SKUs will also fall short of the series’ hallmark 60 frames per second framerate.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be released on November 6th.
