Nordic swoops for BitComposer licenses, including Jagged Alliance

Publisher Nordic has continued its buying spree by acquiring a range of IPs from BitComposer Entertainment.

The company now owns not only the Jagged Alliance brand but also Giana Sisters, Panzer Tactics, Citadels, Bridge Project and North and South.

The decision to acquire Jagged Alliance was an absolute no-brainer for us,” Nordic’s business and product development director Reinhard Pollice said. The other titles in said acquisition coupled with the license – and distribution rights to other IPs are a great opportunity to further expand our range of games.”

Nordic has in the last 18 months swooped for a huge number of IPs including THQ’s Darksiders, Red Faction, De Blob and Destroy All Humans (and the THQ brand itself), as well as Atari’s Desperados and a number of dtp properties such as The Moment of Silence.

It has also made purchases from DreamCatcher (Painkiller) and acquired JoWood.
