Paul Eibeler joins SouthPeak

In a move that will no doubt increase its global credibility in the publishing sector, Virginia-based publisher SouthPeak has welcomed former Take-Two president and CEO Paul Eibeler onto its board of directors.

As one of the most respected executives in the interactive games industry, we welcome Paul to the board of directors,” SouthPeak chairman Terry Phillips stated. His depth of experience will certainly be an asset to SouthPeak growth as a major publisher.”

Eibeler, who departed Take-Two in 2007, added: SouthPeak’s robust pipeline and entrepreneurial management team has set a course for rapid growth. I look forward to working with the SouthPeak’s highly motivated team of professionals as we approach the 2009 holiday season.”

In 2008 SouthPeak acquired publishing curiosity Gamecock, a firm that championed the signing of leftfield independent titles.

SouthPeak’s games include RPG Two Worlds, Roogoo, Mushroom Men, Velvet Assassin, Bang Bang Mini and X-Blades. Its upcoming selection includes upcoming sci-fi FPS Section 8.
