Scottish studio welcomes new director of development and VP of online operations

Realtime Worlds makes senior hires

Realtime Worlds has made two new appointments to its senior management team as its new MMO APB nears closed beta.

Brian Ullrich joins the company as director of development, whose twenty years of experience at companies such as Nintendo, Software Creations, DMA Design, VR-1, LithTech, Microsoft and Electronic Arts should come in useful to the studio. He’ll be reporting directly to CEO David Jones, taking charge of development and ensuring that its practices are efficient, cutting-edge and productive.

The second new recruit is Rob Rice, who will be taking up the role of VP of online operations. He was previously director of network and security operations at NCsoft, managing the company’s data centres and studios across the US and Europe, and prior to that worked for Broadwing Communications in its operations team.

“We’re delighted to have individuals of such high calibre come on board," said Realtime Worlds creative director and CEO Dave Jones. "Their wealth of experience will be invaluable in continuing the company’s success and of achieving the ambitious goals we have for the next few years.”
