Mobile creator currently looking to hire experts in mid-core development

Six and Merged dev Gram Games to open London studio

Turkish mobile outlet Gram Games has announced its plans to move into London as it expands into the mid-core sector.

The studio’s second puzzle title, Merged, launched in February and exceeded a million downloads within a week.

Its recent follow-up, Six, doubled this feat by passing two million players in its first week, hitting the three million player mark in its third week.

In the wake of this success, the developer has confirmed that it will establish a new office in the UK capital.

Gram said in a press release that the studio would be “integral to Gram Games’ strategy to diversify its product portfolio towards mid-core titles”, and added that it would look to hire “expert talent” working in the mid-core sector.

The new London location is predicted to take on up to 50 staff within the next 12 months.

“London, as an operational base, is a critical strategic move for Gram,” elaborated head of strategic partnerships Alex Willink. “We’re proud to have developed and maintained a cohesive culture that we can iterate in any office around the world, and are excited about integrating more local and international talent into the Gram Games team.

“Our intention is to become an iconic game studio of the mobile era and beyond. We will continue to develop casual titles, some of our existing team and new hires will be focusing on mid-core titles to diversify our portfolio.”
