Sniper Elite 3 headed to current, next-gen platforms in 2014

505 Games has announced that it will release Sniper Elite 3 next year for Xbox 360, PS3 and next-gen platforms.

Sniper Elite is developed by Rebellion, which also holds ownership of the IP, so while 505 Games has only announced Sniper Elite 3 for consoles, it’s likely that the PC version will be self-published by Rebellion.

Alongside the announcement, 505 Games also revealed that the previous game in the series – Sniper Elite V2, has sold 1.1 million units.

505 Games has been quite busy, having recently announced Way of the Dogg, a rhythm-action game starring rapper Snoop Dogg. It is also set to release Ashes Cricket 2013 in June and the next game from Starbreeze – Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, around the same time.

The Italian publisher’s games are distributed in India by Origin Games.
