Sony lowers The Last of Us Remastered price, refunds difference to pre-orders

Ahead of its release next month, Sony has dropped the price of The Last of Us Remastered from $60 to $50.

What’s more, Sony will refund that $10 reduction in price to any customer who pre-ordered the game at the higher price point – despite a policy in place that states the company does not have to honor cancellations or refunds in light of such a change.

Playstation’s vice president of publisher and developer relations Adam Boyes announced on Twitter that those who pre-ordered for $60 should receive their $10 refund in the next five to seven business days.

The Last of Us Remastered will launch on PlayStation 4 on July 29, a little over a year after the original title launched exclusively on PlayStation 3 systems.
