Tim Schaaff, the president of Sony Network Entertainment International, has announced his retirement.
Sony Computer Entertainment president and CEO Andrew House will add Schaaff’s responsibilities to his role when Schaaff steps down at the end of the year.
SNEI overseas a number of Sony’s networking businesses, including the PlayStation Network. Schaaff, who joined Sony from Apple six years ago will remain employed as an external director.
House assumed his now role at SCE in the summer of 2011 after it was vacated by Kaz Hirai, who went on to become chairman of Sony Computer Entertainment. Hirai is currently Sony Corporation president.
