Sony has lifted the lid on the PS3-exclusive Starhawk, the sequel to 2007’s Warhawk.
Unlike the multiplayer-only first title, the new game will feature a single-player story mode. Of course a range of multiplayer games will be available.
It will also be the first title developed by Texas-based LightBox Interactive, the studio formed by former team members of Warhawk-developers Incognito Entertainment.
Holding true to the original’s gameplay, this third-person shooter will allow players to jump into ground and air vehicles at will during large-scale battles. A new ‘Build and Battle’ system adds a strategy element by allowing to construct buildings and defensive structures as they fight.
No release date was given, but more is expected to be seen of Starhawk at E3 next month.
