Student studio will showcase BAFTA-winning title SHRuNK at Edinburgh event

The Butterflyers showcase at Science Festival

SHRuNK!, the first title from BAFTA-winning student studio The Butterflyers, will take centre stage at the Edinburgh Science Festival next week.

The studio and their game each took a BAFTA this year, and The Butterflyers also won the 2009 Dare to be Digital development competition.

The Edinburgh Science Festival will be held at the St James Centre in Edinburgh. All fourteen entries to last year’s Dare to be Digital will be set up for festival attendees to play.

Abertay University, which all members of The Butterflyers attended, will also be running two games development workshops for children on April 12-13 and 14-15.

"This is a great opportunity for anyone who missed the Dare ProtoPlay showcase at last year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe to come and try these fabulous games – especially the awesome BAFTA winner and nominees," said Dare to be Digital project manager Elaine Russell.
