Tottenham Hotspur agrees EA FIFA partnership

EA has struck a three-year deal with North London club Tottenham Hotspur that will see the FIFA series become the club’s Official Video Game Partner.

Spurs becomes the eighth Premier League club to reach such an agreement after Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Fulham, Newcastle, Manchester City and arch-rival Arsenal.

Part of the deal will see Spurs players undertake 3D scanning so that their complete digital likeness can be utilised in future versions of the game.

A Spurs-themed FIFA 13 cover will also be made available to download from the Spurs website.

We are extremely excited to join a world class football club like Tottenham Hotspur as an Official Club Partner,” EA Sports’ senior VP and GM of football Matt Bilbey stated.

This is an opportunity for us to create a deeper connection with their passionate, global fan base, and use our game as a platform to engage Spurs supporters all season long.”

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy added: Over the course of the past few years we’ve seen the international profile of the Club rise significantly, especially across key markets in Asia and North America.

We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner with EA SPORTS, one of the world’s leading entertainment brands, andprovide them with the opportunity to reach our global fan base."
