VIDEO – EA: Star Wars Battlefront multiplayer trailer unveiled ahead of E3 announcement

A trailer detailing the multiplayer mode of EA’s Star Wars Battlefront has been uploaded ahead of its planned announcement at E3.

As spotted by Videogamer, the video shows off the title’s multiplayer mode in the Hoth levels from The Empire Strikes Back.

The trailer shows events from both the Imperial and Rebel side of affairs. All to the booming John Williams soundtrack from the original films.

Players handle everything from laser rifles to missile launchers, and even take to the sky in a TIE Fighter. And Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker both make an appearance.

Note the PlayStation jingle at the end – seems that Sony has locked down the latest console Star Wars title
