VIDEO: Live-action Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag trailer is pretty dark

Despite having plenty of time left before its November 1st release, Ubisoft is not relenting on its aggressive video marketing campaign for Assassin’s Creed IV.

Its latest effort is a live-action trailer, which can be seen below, that suggests life on the high seas is… well… a bit messy.

The video comes with a poem of sorts that goes like this:

In the cruel world of pirates, men fight for their dreams.
But few achieve their goals,
Others will drown into darkness.
Thin is the line between chaos and freedom.
And the sea can either be your throne, or your tomb.
The choice is yours.
DEFY.”
