World of Warcraft designer joins League of Legends team

Former World of Warcraft lead systems designer Greg Street has accepted a lead position at League of Legends developer Riot Games.

Polygon reports on Street’s updated LinkedIn profile, which lists his current job as lead game designer at Riot. Street’s Facebook page further reveals that he’s been with Riot since December.

Street left Blizzard last November, after serving as one of the company’s more notable figures for the past five years. His responsibilities with Blizzard included building and changing various gameplay aspects for the MMO –such as, mechanics, classes, items, trade skills and user interface.

Riot Games has yet to make any official remark on the new hire.
