Zynga temp arrested on suspicion of $100k theft

A temp worker at Zynga’s San Francisco studio has been arrested on suspicion of stealing $100,000 worth of equipment and merchandise.

Keith Brown, 21, from San Ramon, was arrested at the company’s headquarters on Tuesday, according to District Attorney’s Office spokesman Omid Talai, as reported by The SF Examiner.

The alleged thefts that took place between October 31st and up to the time of arrest, relate to the stealing of laptops, desktop computers and software, valued at approximately $100,000 in total.

The thefts were caught on video, according to Talai.

“At this point, he’s the only Zynga employee arrested for doing this,” said Talai.

Brown currently remains in custody, and was scheduled to meet in the San Francisco Superior Court yesterday on four felony counts of commercial burglary, one of receiving stolen property, one of grand theft and one of embezzlement.
