Reborn Woolworths bursts into life has kicked off a nationwide marketing campaign to draw consumers to its site, in a sign of its strength as a reborn retailer.

The site sells items across three ‘shops’: the main site, Entertainment and Party & Pick’n’Mix.

And after officially launching last week, the firm has now rolled out its ‘Now Playing’ campaign across the national press – including the online news pages of UK tabloids.

Shop Direct bought the Woolworths brand in February – and hired former Woolies games buyer Gerry Berkley two months later.

The site launched last Thursday. Shop Direct estimated that over 100,000 people visited in its first 24 hours. sells a strong variety of video games software across all platforms.
