Report: Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition in the works

A Borderlands 2 Game of the Year Edition is reportedly being readied for retail, according to a GameStop source.

IGN cities the word of the unidentified GameStop employee, who also provides a cut and dry image (pictured) showing the upcoming version’s box art and indicating the edition contains over $100 worth of content.

That allegedly means all of the game’s released DLC to date, including:

  • Creature Slaughter Dome
  • Psycho Pack
  • Captain Scarlet’s And Her Pirate’s Booty
  • Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt
  • Mister Torgue’s Campaign Of Carnage
  • Tiny Tina’s Assault On Dragon Keep
  • Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade
  • Mechromancer Pack

No confirmation from 2K Games or Gearbox as of yet, but this one doesn’t seem to farfetched.

The approaching holiday season is apparently assisting in the unearthing of these types of upgraded re-releases, as just yesterday a Halo 4 GOTY package was leaked ahead of Microsoft’s confirmation.
