Call of Duty: Ghosts – upgrade from PS3 to PS4 version for £10

Activision has announced that players looking to upgrade from PS3 to PS4 will be offered a special discount on Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is out on PS3 on November 5th. With PS4 now having a confirmed UK release date of November 29th, players face a choice between diving in early and getting an extra month’s worth of play or holding out for the next-gen versions.

Those who do buy the PS3 version on release day but then intend to upgrade top PS4 at the end of November will be able to upgrade their version of Ghosts for 10/€10/$10.

It’s not entirely clear whether this will be a physical boxed upgrade or – as Sony seems to have suggested – a digital upgrade.

"Retail programmes, announced by Amazon and GameStop allow our players to upgrade from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts for 10 as well [as reported here],” Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg stated.
