Dark Souls II release date nailed down, collector’s editions detailed

Namco Bandai has confirmed the final release date for Dark Souls II.

The From Software game will hit Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on March 14th 2014.

The publisher has also detailed the two premium SKUs that will launch alongside the vanilla game on that date.

The Dark Souls II Collector’s Edition includes a 30cm/450g Warrior Knight figurine as well as a hardbound art book, colour fabric map, soundtrack and metal game case. The Collector’s Edition is a pre-order only SKU.

Those who pre-order the standard game automatically receive the Black Armour Edition free of charge (while stocks last) that includes a soundtrack and metal case. Again, this version won’t be available on shelves.

Dark Souls II will offer hardcore fans and newcomers alike a challenging yet rewarding experience with a whole new sense of achievement,” Namco Bandai Europe’s senior VP Olivier Comte stated.

Working closely with From Software, we’re excited to be bringing these Collector’s Edition and special Black Armour Edition, with appealing added content for everyone that will allow them to fully dive into the world of Dark Souls II.”
