FIFA 15 stays king of UK charts for sixth week as Sunset Overdrive debuts at No.2

FIFA 15 has remained top of the UK charts for a sixth week running, despite strong competition from Sunset Overdrive.

EA’s football giant claimed a sixth consecutive weekly number one – the most chart-topping appearances of any title so far in 2014.

The game’s sixth success also puts it halfway towards matching FIFA 14’s 12 number ones – the most of any title in the FIFA series.

FIFA 14 similarly achieved a six-week streak but, unlike FIFA 15, this was not from launch.

FIFA’s refusal to budge from the top of the chart left Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive at number two.

This is despite the game also being available packed in with a white Kinect-less Xbox One model.

Joining Sunset are eight new entries, only one of which makes it into the Top Ten: the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of 2K’s WWE 2K15 slams in at number five.

Meanwhile, Square Enix’s PS4, Xbox One and PC Dark Souls-a-like Lords of the Fallen lands just outside of the Top Ten at number 11.
