Gamestation helps MW3 fans skive off work

Finally getting your hands on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is great. Things like jobs and kids and gardening preventing you playing it is not.

So retailer Gamestation has offered a helping hand in the form of some suggested text messages posted on its Facebook site that can be sent to bosses in order to gain a valuable day alone at home to play the game.

Examples include A mine has just exploded in my back yard, will text you back once sorted and I am very ill and I haven’t slept a wink, don’t know what’s wrong! Will need to rest and recover today”.

And the Gamestation website itself also has a quite detailed guide on the best way in which to phone up sick.

We know Gamestation customers are committed gamers, and that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fans are, without a doubt, some of the most passionate out there,” head of UK PR Neil Ashurst explained.

For them, today will be all about playing MW3 and although we don’t want people to lie to their employers or friends, if they’re going to – at least they should be convincing.”
