Max Payne 3 for PC now available in India

Update: It seems the game was in some stores on 1st June itself. However, owing to the nationwide bandh on 31st May, several shipments were held back.

Original Story

It’s a day late and it probably means that those who ordered it online won’t be playing it this weekend, but Max Payne 3 for PC is now shipping to stores across India, the game’s distributor E-Xpress Interactive has announced.

The PC version is priced at Rs 999 and, as we revealed earlier, ships on four DVDs.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Max Payne 3 were released on May 18, and in its first week, it was the second best-selling game overall (behind Rockstar’s own GTA IV) and the top-selling game on PS3 and Xbox 360 at online retailer Flipkart. You can check out the complete Flipkart chart here.

While the PC version has already made its way to some independent retailers in Mumbai, such as Computer Culture and Origin Games, several other retailers are yet to receive stock. Game4U had earlier tweeted that it expects to receive the game next week, while Flipkart had emailed its customers informing them that the game would be available as late as 8th June.
