The price drop for the handheld only applies to the Wi-fi version. It is currently priced at Rs 19,990, and will drop down to Rs 16,990. No price drop is announced for the Wi-fi/3G version.

PS Vita memory cards will also get a price drop. Here are the new prices (old prices in brackets)

  • 8 GB – Rs 1,599 (Rs 2,799)
  • 16 GB – Rs 2,799 (Rs 3,999)

The new prices are supposedly in effect starting today.

Sony recently announced a slim PS Vita for the Asian markets, but we have no word yet on an Indian release.
