Rocket League catapults up the Twitch rankings

The surprise hit of the summer has also proved a big hit with game streamers.

Twitch’s July report shows Rocket League was the fifth most streamed game of the month, following its release on PS4 and PC on July 7th.

Aware of the trends, the game’s developer Psyonix added a spectator mode in the racer’s latest patch.

League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive retain their positions in first and second, with Dota 2 overtaking Hearthstone to claim fourth place, no doubt thanks to the vast interest attracted by The International.

Climbing up the rankings are World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor (9th, +3), gaming talk shows (10th, +6), Terraria (16th, +29), Arma III (17th, +10) and Path of Exile (20th, +23), which was boosted by the release of The Awakening. The only major slipper was Ark: Survival Evolved (14th, -9).
