Rolocule’s Rolomotion tech nominated for Edison Award

Rolocule Games has been nominated for the Edison Award for its Rolomotion motion-control gaming technology.

The Edison Award recognises the most innovative products, services and business leaders, with nominations based on the concept, value, delivery and impact of each innovation. Past recipients of the award have included the likes of Apple, Coca Cola, Nike and Microsoft.

Rolomotion has been nominated in the Electronics & Computers – Entertainment category alongside AfterShokz for its Open Ear Stereo Headphones, and Logitech for the Harmony Ultimate.

"It’s a great feeling whenever you are recognised for your hard work, but this is really special as it honours the innovation DNA that we have built in Rolocule. We are proud to be nominated along with such big names in their respective industries. All of it is possible because of the hard work of our team," said Anuj Tandon, co-founder of the Pune-based studio.

Rolomotion brings console-like motion-controlled gaming to iOS through Apple TV and iPhone/iPod Touch. The first Rolomotion game, Motion Tennis, was released last year.

Rolocule is currently working on brining Rolomotion and Motion Tennis to Android, with its second, yet-unannounced Rolomotion game for iOS planned for release in April.
