Skream offers white label ecommerce service

The company behind successful online retailer ShopTo.net has announced a new white label service that will allow others to take advantage of the store’s infrastructure to launch their own ecommerce portal.

Skream says that all partners will enjoy the fruit born from ShopTo’s success, including its famed ‘Five minute dispatch’ system complete with 24-hour functionality and the retailer’s huge range of SKUs.

Other services include text SMS ordering, iPhone applications and 99 per cent next day delivery for orders placed before 5:20pm.

Skream is currently able to dispatch over 50,000 parcels every single day.

The company in particular is looking to partner with businesses that currently take advantage of the soon-to-be-closed Jersey and Guernsey VAT loophole.

By offering this new White Label Solution, we are confident of attracting a number of customers looking to develop or enounce their own e-commerce and distribution platforms,” Skream MD Mat McGrotty stated.

Within the last Budget in April 2011, the chancellor stated his intention to review the VAT threshold ‘LVCR’ to reduce the value of items that can be imported free of VAT. The advantageous business conditions afforded to companies basing their operations in Jersey for many years have meant UK based operations have suffered.

These companies are now, as a result, looking to relocate their operations to the UK, where we are the best choice for them to gain the same customer awareness that Shopto already enjoys.”
