Soedesco’s Aerea gets boxed and digital release on June 30th, now timed Steam exclusive

UPDATE:Soedesco’s Aerea is now a timed-exclusive on Steam, launching today (June 2nd) ahead of its boxed and console launch at the end of the month. The Steam version of Aerea will also launch with additional DLC in the form of the game’s soundtrack, which you’ll see below is composed by Broforce composer Deon van Heerden, plus a digital art book.

ORIGINAL STORY: Soedesco’s upcoming action RPG title AereA is releasing on PS4, Xbox One and PC on June 30th, the publisher has announced. It will also be getting a boxed and digital release across all three formats.

To make the boxed versions extra special, these will come with a copy of the game’s soundtrack, which we now know is being worked on by Broforce composer Deon van Heerden. Sound plays a key role in this isometric adventure, with each of its four main characters, nine bosses and weapons all being themed around musical concepts and instruments.

The hand-drawn graphics also support 4K resolutions on supported hardware, and players will be able to switch seamlessly between four-player co-op and solo play at any time.

AereA is the first instalment in the planned AereA series, and is Soedesco’s second original IP – the first being Adam’s Venture Origins, a remake of the original episodic adventure game of the same name from 2009.

Our strategy is to combine the publishing of third party games with first party titles," Soedesco’s Hans van Brakel said. "The AereA-IP is the next step in building a strong portfolio and a great addition to our 2017 line-up."
