Sony names apps available for US PS4 launch

Sony has announced which digital entertainment apps will be available when the PlayStation 4 launches in America.

Joining Sony’s own Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited apps are 11 third-party apps. There are a number of big names here including Amazon, Crackle and Netflix, with more to come in the future.

Sony is yet to announce what entertainment apps will be available when the PS4 launches in the UK.

PlayStation is deeply committed to providing the most immersive gaming and entertainment experiences to gamers," said Phil Rosenberg, senior vice president of business development and publisher relations at SCEA.

"The PS4 is the most powerful gaming system ever created, which enables us, along with our partners to add amazing entertainment options to the platform that we know PlayStation fans are going to love."
