Sony names two free Vita Discovery apps

With the UK launch of PlayStation Vita rapidly approaching, Sony has announced details of two free games for the device.

Arriving under the ‘Discovery Apps’ promotion, both Frobisher Says and T@g will be made available as free downloads for the device.

The first title is a surreal mini-game collection not too dissimilar to Nintendo’s Wario Ware IP. It has specifically been designed to show off the many new features of Vita such as the rear touch screen, motion controls and facial recognition.

Frobisher Says has already been offered to pre-order Vita customers on the day of release. It will be made available for all in May.

The second title, T@g is an augmented reality graffiti title that sees users apply their ‘tags’ to real-world location pictured through Vita’s cameras. As players progress they unlock additional features allowing them to tag more creatively and on a bigger scale.

T@g will be released in May, but is only compatible with the 3G version of the Vita.
