Namco Bandai has finally announced a release date for its hotly anticipated Star Trek title.
Star Trek: The Video Game will be released in the UK on April 26th, 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It will also be available to download on PC and PS3.
The game was announced last year, and signed by Namco Bandai back in February.
It is based on the rebooted universe as seen in the JJ Abrams film. Players control a young Kirk and Spock, who must work together to confront classic Trek aliens the Gorn.
Star Trek: The Video Game arrives a few weeks before movie sequel Star Trek: Into Darkness, set to be one of the biggest films of next year. The game is set between Into Darkness and 2009’s Star Trek.
Namco has also detailed its pre-order scheme which will be rolling out via retailers in the next few weeks. Trek fans who order the game will recieve the Elite Officer Pack, which will include extra weapons and uniforms for both Kirk and Spock.
