Star Wars: Battlefront Ultimate Edition will launch next month

EA has announced Star Wars: Battlefront Ultimate Edition, which will include the base game and all of the season pass DLC at a reduced price.

Currently the new disk bundle is only confirmed to be available in the States from November 18th, with a price tag of $39.99. EA told VideoGamer that the Ultimate Edition will only be available digitally in the UK, although it is already available to purchase for 54.99 on the PlayStation Store and has been since launch last year. Presumably the price will drop when the boxed edition hits the shelves across the pond.

The Ultimate Edition includes Star Wars: Battlefront, as well as the Season Pass and its four expansion packs: Outer Rim, Bespin, Death Star and Rogue One: Scarif.

To celebrate the launch of the Ultimate Edition EA are letting players try out the Outer Rim, Bespin, and Death Star DLC for free between November 18th and 20th. The event will also give players 4x score.

This is of course all tied into the launch of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is due to hit cinemas on December 16th.

This does mean that, in the States at least, EA will be releasing three first person shooters within a month of each other. Battlefield One is out tomorrow, while Titanfall 2 is due out on October 28th. The new Star Wars release will also have to compete with both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered, which launch on November 4th.
