Star Wars: The Old Republic free to play this weekend

BioWare has announced an extended free weekend for their MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic kicking off this Thursday.

Starting on March 15th at 1:01am ET, anyone who registers for a weekend pass free trial will be able to create a new character and play up to level 15.

Pass holders will have access to Origin World, Capital World, the Fleet, all Warzones, and your character’s first Flashpoint – though no trading with other characters will be allowed.

The free weekend comes to a close on Monday at 3am ET, at which point BioWare and EA will put a freeze on all unpaid accounts. From there, those who participated can choose to purchase the game and continue where they last left off with their current character.

As one might expect, the trial is only offered to those in territories where the MMO is also available.
