Strongbow Investments buys M19 League of Legends team

A Russian investment firm known as Strongbow Investments has purchased the M19 League of Legends team.

The squad was previously known as Albus NoX Luna and managed to place in the top eight at Worlds last year, becoming the best performing wildcard region team ever.

This new investment sees them become one of the best funded teams in the CIS region, with Strongbow apparently pumping in millions of dollars. Some are saying that they now have as much money as some of the biggest teams in the world.

During a press conference, which was reported on by Yahoo eSports, the team said that they are looking to expand into new games such as Dota and CS:GO, with the investors putting in millions of dollars each year to build a massive organisation.

The press conference was held in the team’s new training facility, which is the Manor Nikolsky, a 18th century mansion valued at almost $22 million.

Looks like CIS just got a new powerhouse organisation.
